Alan and Richard are on a short holiday cum business trip here and we arranged a short session at the Jugra saltwater pond fly fishing for redfish, barramundi and groupers.
Alan also had a short casting leason with me the day before. He needed to tune his casting and get some tips on handling his new 10 weight setup in preparation for his upcoming fly fishing trip in Exmouth.
It was a productive outing at the pond as we caught many fish.
Richard being quite new to fly fishing is obviously ecstatic to catch fish that are his biggest on the fly yet.
The redfish however remain tough having been in the pond for a long time and very wary of any artificial offerings thrown at them.
I did manage to hook one on a epoxy shrimp but came of after a spirited fight.
Try as I might after that but none is eager to bite.
