I’ve seen a number of popper flies but this is the first I’ve seen tied completely hollow and in this way.
It is completely hollow minimising wind resistance making it easier to cast.
Dron calls it a Hollow Popping Minnow, a new variant of his Popping Minnow fly.
Watch him tie it during his fly tying workshop organised by the Fly Fishing Association of Selangor.
