Stocked pond fishing may not appeal to some but they do serve some good purposes such as fixing a fishing itch quickly, convenience for those who are busy and could not always take too much time off to travel, and even serving as a reliable place for testing fishing gear.
The Jugra pond is one of such ponds we have fly fished in the past couple of years.

What to Expect
This is a former fish farm where a few ponds have been converted for fishing. There are catch and release ponds, and also catch and pay-for-the-fish ponds.
Target species are redfish, golden snapper, barramundi, GT, mangrove jack and grouper. They are in separate ponds so do find out what fishes are in a particular pond.
The whole place has a very bare setting with gravel grounds all around the rectangular shaped ponds. Some may want to use a stripping basket to avoid fouling the fly line.
We usually fish early when the open at 7am with mixed results. Some has remarked fishing is better around noon.
