This is the knot that I use nearly all the time when targeting toothy fish such as giant snakehead or toman as we call them locally. These fish will cut off the thickest of nylon leaders.
I often use 40lb wires when targeting giant snakehead but do go down a little at times.
For this example I tied the wire onto a NYAP popper, a fly that I often use.
This knot is easy to tie and can also be used for other applications including when using just mono or fluorocarbon leaders.
