Catching a fishing show in Malaysian TV is as good as catching fish in a heavily pressured pond. Even overseas produced ones are hardly shown, let alone locally produced ones. However, there is always YouTube and the internet.
Last week, the people from a local TV fishing show, Kembara Joran, did some shooting at Empangan Air Kuning and some of us had the opportunity to help out.
They featured lure fishing the day before and a few of us from the Fly-Fishing Association of Selangor helped out on the second day for fly fishing, something the host and crew is very unfamiliar with. Same goes for their viewers I’m quite sure. Which makes it all good for promoting fly fishing to more locals.
Dron Lee is also present to do his thing showcasing fly tying to the camera.
I hope we made fly fishing proud as I think JW‘s loops sucked during the shoot lol.
